Sounds like a cable adjustment, or you could just buy a new bike....Yeah, that's it, buy a new bike. You know you want one.

First off, try Pain Freak's suggestion first. I know this is a new bike so the cables may have stretched a bit. Second, have you ever crashed or laid the bike down on the ride side? If this just started happening you might have bent the derailleur hanger. Third, you shouldn't be in that gear combination to begin with. Every front ring has a group of five rear cogs it should be in use with. Big ring uses the 5 smallest rear cogs (5-9), middle ring uses the 5 middle cogs (3-7) and the small ring uses the 5 largest cogs (1-5). Everything else is just a duplicate gear ratio of those gear combos and is considered cross chaining and will wear out your drivetrain prematurely. Duc

@DISCO, I use a bash guard and haven't reduced chain length since getting rid of the big ring. I noticed I havent been using the big ring, and is once scarred a couple of teeth on previous rides.
@RacinJason, i appreciate the offer, I will keep it in mind. @Pato, i've fell on my right side once, hence my rear der skipping i mentioned to you before 3 weeks ago. I'll remember that ring-cog combo. |

Rock it, rip it, shred it

Your hanger is prob. wonky. Check it out form the rear of the bike to see if it's in line with the cogs, or frame.

Check the stop adjustment (one of the two small adjuster screws at the back of the derailleur). Looking from the back of the bike, look for the top pulley wheel on the derailleur to be directly in line with the smallest cog when it is shifted into the 9th gear position.
