It is true indeed....I had the pleasure of seeing the bike in person and riding with Jason from Salsa Cycles. It looks like a winner for sure!

Duan'er - 29'er remixed
![]() |
my theory is and 80% of this is i'm pulling this from my other orafice LOL but based on my personal experience when i rode trails like Santiago Oaks. When i first did the trail on my HT 29'er i found the descent to be fun as I felt more stable and was able to roll over some of the rocks and baby heads. Now when i rode my FS 26'er it was nice to descend zips and chutes because it smoothed out the harness. So if you think about it, the 29'er FS will feel more stable (big wheels) and with the FS it'll smooth out the rough stuff nicely...best of both worlds! Well the climbing is a bit more difficult w/ a bigger wheel LOL

Hmmm this is exciting news. Anyone have an details like travel, shock spec, head angles? Guaranteed it's going to have a killer paint job and a funky name.
Like any FS bike, more traction in the rough stuff, and sometimes you don't want your ass banged around especially after 6+hours of riding. Plus the stability of those big hoops.

Here's a pic that's been floating around. No confirmed details - but it looks like a Fox shock and more than likely 4" or so of travel.

Hope they do something about that paint though. It needs some more color and chilli peppers on it. It looks like an old RL monocog.

I rode with Jason when he was on what he thought would be the final prototype. The bike looked SOLID.....werent allowed to take any pics or anything and he didnt tell us any specifics but it looked great. It had a couple of REALLY nice features in terms of brake mount as well....granted he is a great rider but boy did he have a grin on his face the whole ride. It was his first ride on that prototype and he said he thought they definitely nailed it
