Default Veloplugs

Has anyone had any experience with these boogers??

I have had some super bad luck with rim tape sliding around in my FSA wheelset. Just curious if this might be a reasonable alternative?

I've seen them in many stores (in Japan), but I've never used them. If I recall correctly, you have to get the correct ones for your rims. I would be very worried that you may knock a plug out when installing a tire.

Just use two wraps of reinforced strapping tape from any home improvement store. One roll does many, many rims.

Luke - Justin also uses some kind of thick tape he picked up. It's reinforced/clear.

Stop being a wuss! Step up and go tubeless!

Release yourself from your dependence on innertubes and enjoy the simplicity and freedom that is tubeless tires.

Now take a deep breath in....close your eyes...and chant with me...Oommmmmmm....

How about putty to cover the holes?

I just bought a wheel set for my road bike about two months ago and they have Velo plugs. I have mounted and remounted tires twice with absolutely no problem. No need to worry about them coming out while mounting a tire, it just won't happen. A bag of them weigh next to nothing. I believe they come in two diameters for different size spoke holes.
I must state, for my mountain bike, I use Stans and it is the best thing I have ever done! I was getting flats at least every other week, and now I have had NONE in a year. Also, the rolling resistance of the tires is noticeably improved, I'm a believer.
