So, to make a long story short, I built my own mountain bike light, based off the Forums some others have posted on here... Ill just post pics of the processes, and if anyone would like to build one, i can help them or feel free to contact Lamba_Drive..
this rubberband is holding the switch that i epoxied onbefore soldering
after soldering

With shrink tubing
Holding on the handlebar mount i epoxied on...
A finished product

Total cost of the Light. . . . $18 and a few cents.
Thanks to Lamba_Drive for the help..

That's the same bulb I use for the Fully Loop, and it lights up the WHOLE trail.

brandon you need to tin the wire before you solder, its a crimp connections so it should hold, good solder joints are shiny
otherwise it looks great and cheap!!(the best part)

But, you just dont touch it...
Similar to a taser. What kind of person would touch it and Tase themself?

Yes, they get VERY hot, but when you're riding the air cools it down fairly well.

I'll have to ride like the wind. Or attach one of those old school plastic things on a straw that spins if you blow in it. maybe itll act like a fan.
Orr try to remember not to bump it

It doesn't get THAT hot. Sure if you touch it it'll feel very hot, but it's not going to give you third degree burns or set nearby objects on fire.

You have a cold solder joint on that connection. It will fail. Just a matter of time. Next time, tin the wire. Then crimp the crimp connection on, then solder.

you pretty much just heat up the wire on the top and suck the solder through the bottom until the wire is full of solder and shiny (tinned) dont worry you didnt build a rocket ship no one will die
