Default Tora Tora Tora

I recently got a used Tora 302, and one of the wipers is apparently letting oil through. I have some oilly mud on the stantions around where the seal appears to have been compromised.

So, what do I need to do? Is this a rebuild, or do I just need to replace the wipers? I'm prolly gonna do whatever myself. I'm not afraid of a project like this. Problem is, I'm not sure what the fix is.

TIA

Yup, oil change too while you're at it. You gotta dump the old oil anyway, may as well throw some new oil in it.

This is off subject but the title reminded me of my Father. He was there when they were filming parts of the movie Tora Tora Tora. At the time he didint know what was going on. He was just out diving in the water spearing fish when there was explosions and planes flying over.

Well, look at it this way. Take the $75 (or more) you are about to spend rebuilding the Tora and put it on a REBA. That's $75 off son! No how sweet a deal is that? This isn't helping is it? I'll shush up now.

It will probably cost you about $35 or so - $25ish for the enduro seal kit and $10ish for the oil.

I had them put on my revelation and that was a long time ago and the fork seems more stictiony than with the rock shock seals. i want to go back to rock shock seals becuase it seems the fork was smoother before.

maybe the OP should get new Rock Shock seals instead?

Let me know if you need help. I've done a few RS forks and a few Marz forks and a Fox 36 fork now.

not a lot, but it looks like it's just coming out of one little spot. it looks like the wiper might have a little warp in it right there.
