I'm looking for a good bashring for the SS. Preferably something that looks cool, doesn't weigh too much, and isn't ridiculously expensive. Any suggestions?
I want to avoid this: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=406604 bendyring0953.jpg |

Yikes.
Spot brand ring guard, or Blackspire X-God ring or X-Ring God or whatever it is. We have one of each. |

I bought a super-cheap one from Nashbar (www.bikenashbar.com). So far, no problems.

Check these out, I have one on my 1x9. They are not full blown 5-6mm thick DH bash gaurds, but mine has done the trick. Nice price too.

I used to use the big ring and run an old chain around it and pin it in place...it worked and was cheap.
