I had a pop-lock on my SID, didn't like it. Since I use a narrow straight bar it cluttered up and already tight cockpit. I removed it and it was no problem reaching down and turning the knob, even without a lever like the fox has. The problem I have with my fox is that it's too easy to inadvertantly change the low speed compression setting. A little bit longer lever would help. The only time I lock out either fork is for stand up sprinting, which only happens during training intervals, the occational close race finish, and the start of a race if there happens to be a hole shot advantage to be had.
