Don't taze me bro

I have shimano rotors, XT SM-R75S, that was what took me so long to put them on the bike. I accidently bought center lock but I needed bolt on (anyone need some 160mm center lock rotors)

You used mineral oil when you cut and bled them the first time, right?

I've installed and bled many hydraulic brakes, and so I have some familiarity with different types. However, I haven't worked on Shimano brakes since their 4-pots back in 2002 or so. Last night, I installed a set of the 08 XTs onto my Mob (I also have a set for my SlopeStyle). Admittedly, it was a bit challenging bleeding them for the first time. It was seriously an exercise of patience. Once you think you have all of the bubbles, you've only just begun - you probably have a lot more. After that, once you think you're done, keep going, you'll get more bubbles out. If I can offer one additional tip, don't be stingy with the fluid. Expect to run nearly a full bottle of fluid through the brake (if your drain canister is clean, you can reuse it). The levers on my brakes are rock hard. ![]()

I should also add that my brakes did not come as a prebled kit. They were bought as individual components, so there was never any fluid in them, which can make the bleed process a bit more difficult.
