per advise of some on this board, i put some slime tube in ahead of my trip to sedona.

weight is certainly noticable off the shelf but really didn't bother me too much climbing/riding/etc.

what is did notice what it just never felt like the rotating weight was even and felt a bit sketch.

even coming back from trip and riding spots i was very familair with and charged on the downs it just felt a bit whack in the turns.

ran them until i replaced tires and then out regular tubes back in. that aid they must have helped stop a bunch of flat becuase i notices a bunch on small green "pinholes" whn i took the tubes out

i ran them for a while, until their little 2 piece valve came apart inside of my presta adapter, and blew slime all over my garage. now i run the cheaper Bell self-sealing tubes from wal-mart in my DH bike and XC bike, they work well, but leave a oily film on the exterior of the tire where the hole is.

yes, slime tubes are great!

washing the green in the neighbors yard? hahaha, is that why their yard is greener then yours? hahahaha...

i have been looking for the removable core tubes also, i got a bontrager one also, and it didn't have it... i am looking for the 26" size...

i think i may just buy the premade ones... it isnt' like i am changing tubes all the time... i think they are soo worth it! i am not a too picky about weight...

I use slime tubes I don't care about the weight. I just look at just loosing a few pounds from my gut.

I've run them in the past..... wasn't too concerned with weight, but know I run regulars - even if it is imaginary, I feel like my bike is lighter without them. Come summertime and the pucker bushes get bad I may switch back

I use to run them until I flatted 3 from goat heads in 3 rides..at 8 bucks a pop I went back to 1 dollar tubes and flatted once over the rest of that season.

They are $5 at Price Point. Most shops should price match that. Jenson does it, I know that for sure. And no shipping!

So if you have a tube with removable valve core, how much slime is needed?
