Howdy,
I like to share my this little incident with you all about having super gule in your back pack. It has been almost 5 years that I use Stan's no tube sealant and I go over you can name it including jumping cactus, goat heads and ......... ( Thanks to uncle Milt ) During these past years, I have never had any flats, therefore I don't carry spare tubes in my stuff that I carry with. I learned my listen to bring along the lightest, but yet, the most wonderful little can of super glue to the ride, weighing less than a feather. After a wonderful ride today in 90 degrees heat of Chula Vista, CA. we made our final route on the road back into the starting place when I ran over some sharp !@$# object that caused a 1/2 " cut in my rear tire. Stan's juice starting coming out trying to seal the cut, but the cut was too big to ........ Thanks to our wonderful group, everyone came to help, and I decided to walk as I was so close to home / car / wife. Then again, uncle Milt, opened up his back pack / tools depo / urgent care ...... and got his little can of super glue. We glued the cut, put more air and I was on my way to the starting point. Thanks for a great ride guys and special thanks to unlce Milt who alwasys saves our Arsses. Carry one little tube of super glue in your pack and save yourself or other a long walk way home. I hope this helps. Ali |

Cool, I'm glad that worked. I'm ready to give away my security tube.
![]() ![]() Did you have to clean the cut? Did you glue something to the inside, or just butt the slit back together and glue? |

What should I put here?

It's also a good thing to keep in your first aid kit. You can glue skin back together while waiting for stitches.... seriously!

Superglue works great. I cut a tire that I was running tubeless on some glass. Superglue fixed it and I used that tire for months afterwards.

Super glue also works great in place of stitches but burns like a mother.
In your first aid kit you should carry a maxipad. Works great for bleeding but never sticks to the wound. When I did CSAR we carried tampons because they worked great in bullet wounds |

I just washed the cut, dried it real good and then glued it. Waited till it cures which is usually pretty fast and then pumped the tire and was ready to go. If it is too big, then you can do it from inside as well.

A buddy who used to ride with us and in the Navy, told me that you can use it to close up wounds till you get medical care later on. It doesn't burn the area, as I have tried it on a small cut. It works great. |
