I ran a Reba Race on my Monocog SS for a year. Had it set at 100mm and was more than happy with it. Actually it was the first Rock Shox I purchased since SRAM obtained them. Felt great. Really dug the remote Poploc. Used it more than I thought I would.

Bought a '08 GF Paragon last fall with a F29 RL. I must say I was not too impressed with it outta the box. The travel felt too stiff or I blew right through it. After about 8 rides on it, I changed the travel to 100mm. At this point the fork came alive. All of a sudden I wasn't going through the travel to quick, but it was plush as well. Also, at 100mm the fork felt way more stiff than the Reba did at 100mm.

I wonder how much nicer the F29 RLC would be over my RL. It would be nice to have a remote lockout again.

I am really happy with the Fox. However, I have no reserves of running a Reba in the future either.

What it comes down to is budget. The Fox is way more $$$ than the Reba.

I've seen quite a few BMX bikes with brown frames and white forks and it usually looks pretty cool.

Anyone know the difference between an '07 Reba Race 29 and an '08 Reba Race 29?

Matching is not the issue. That color Blue and White is too Ryan Seacrest for me

I just dont like white forks. I had a white fork on my 26" FS, and had to sell the fork because I just could not stand to look at it.

Someday maybe Fox will wake up and dump the white.

I will always pick function over fashion. However there is also the value aspect of it. White fork that may perform a tad better than the Reba at a $600 up charge (for me).

Made my mind up it is going back.

I was a click away yesterday from going thru what you are. I just ordered a Reba this morning. I'll have my frame from Ventana in 3 weeks. Time to start lacing up some hoops! How about WHITE rims? not.

I got my new Reba Race 29 today via UPS, after ordering it up just yesterday from pricepoint. FYI it weighs in at 1770 grams, or 3.90 lbs.

Wow, my F29 weighed in at 3.7lbs. I thought the Reba was lighter

everyone thinks it's lighter. a lot of retailers spec it at 1610g (3.55lbs). but if you look at http://www.sram.com/en/rockshox/crosscountry/reba/# you'll see that they have two listed weights...I suppose the first at 1610g is if they were to make this as a 26er fork, which AFAIK they don't.
