Default how to remove stem?

Hey, Im trying to remove the stem on my road bike but I unscrewed the screw all the way and a little piece dropped down. I cant seem to pull it out, what do i do?

Is it a stem for threadless headsets, or an "old school" type stem? On old school stems, you'd normally loosen the bolt, then tap on it with a hammer or mallet to release the wedge at the bottom.

I'd try turning the bike over. Let gravity pull it out for you!

It sound like you have the stem system that the bolt from the top screws into a wedge. You should be able to drop the wedge piece out if you hold your bike upside down and use that bolt to pull it out. If your top cap is still there it won't come out and you need to pull that off first. The top cap should be threaded into the stem and you can use a hex key to pull that out and the wedge should just fal out.

I pulled the screw all the way out and it wount go back in. I dont know what to do haha

thats what devin told me to do, I did that but it still didnt come out. I felt it drop but it wont budge and the screw wont go back in (I pulled it out after it droppped)
