Default shifter question

hey all-
i just picked up a set of Avid juicy 7 (2004) brakes from SSinGA. I pm'd him with this question, but I though i'd get other opinions here too.
This will be my first hydraulic brakes. Currently on my bike I'm running bb7 mechanicals, using Shimano dual control levers with Shimano derailleurs. Obviously I need to trade out the dual control pods for dedicated shifters. Which ones would fit best with the juicy's, inboard of them so i could have 2 or 1 finger braking? Or does it not matter, do they all work for this? I'm assuming the sram Attack 2:1 shifters would work well, as they are from the same company, but what about shimano? Any recommendations? thanks.

if you go SRAM shifters Gary you can get the matchmaker and have the shifter and the brakes on one mount saves the clutter on the bar.

Can the matcmaker setup work for moving the brake lever over a little for one-finger braking?

I wouldn't use the matchmaker. I like having more options for fine tuning the levers/shifters.

Hey you wanna buy my X9 triggers?

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you go with Sram shifters, you will also have to go with Sram rear derailleur. The front is compatible with either. Since you already have Shimano derailleurs, just get Shimano shifters.

You only have to run Sram Ders.with the X series shifters,X-O,X-9.etc. The Attack shifters are Shimano compatible.- Lloyd

Default Sale your dual control with the rear derailleur.

I guess you have a kind of low normal der.
Then get Sram XO or XTR der. shifters combo.
Both are great, I like better the XTR 972 der. (Shadow).
