Stop stealing my thunder!
|
1. Measure twice, cut once.
2. If you can, use an abrasive saw blade instead of the normal toothed blade. This way you don't have to worry about fraying the ends or damaging the bar. 3. Do not cut in windy locations to prevent inhaling the dust. 4. Seal the end with nail polish once you've finished cutting it.

Band saw works for me. A dremel could work, but difficult to make a straight cut. Some have had luck with a fine tooth hacksaw. Carbon bars today have pretty thick resin coatings that help prevent splintering of the fibers.

yea, i would try to stay away from tooth cutters... i think thin abrasives are the best... make sure you wear some type of mask also... it should be quick so it shouldn't be too uncomfortable... those fibers are really bad for sure...
