Thought I'd adjust my seat last night so I loosen up the seatpost clamp, adjust the seat then start re-tightening the screws when all of a sudden...SNAP!!
Oh crap, looks like I'll be picking up another seatpost soon. Luckily it was on the backup bike ![]() Never used a torque wrench in the past and didn't think I was tightening the screws that much, but looks like I'd better invest in one now. |

I seem to recall having a hard time finding warranty info when I broke a Thomson stem. I'd just call your LBS. Adrenaline & Path (and probably Switchback) all carry them - I'm sure they can help with info and/or shipping.

WOW never even heard of anyone breaking a Thomson. I would have thought the bolt would have broke before snapping the post. Agree with others....... send it to Thomson and see what they say ![]() |
