Default Tire seems out of shape

I bought a set of WTB Velociraptor tires for my bike. The back one is good, but when I put the front one on and spin the tire, it looks like my wheel is bent. I had a free tune up done at the place where i bought my bike and they put the wheel on a machine to check it for bends and they said that there is nothing wrong with the wheel, that its the tire.

Does this matter? Is this common in tires for them to look a little off?

Maybe the tire bead is not seated correctly?

It's common. Check the bead, if the bead is fine, I'd use it.

Even though that tire is a relic, you should be fine.

I've been running a Specialized Fast Trak with a notable wobble for months. Just check the bead for safety's sake.

I'm outa shape, too, but I seem to do ok. It's common for tires to have wobbles in them, even though the rim is straight. Assuming that beads of the tire are seated correctly, just run it. Kenda tires are also typically bad in this regard whereas most of the Maxxiss tires I've had have been generally pretty good.

If the beads aren't seated, and they are a bit difficult to seat, air down the tire, then spray window cleaner or a soapy solution all around the bead on both sides, then air up the tire.

I believe the tire is no properly seated in the bead.
I had the same thing with my tire. I had to pump the tired up to about 70 psi until I heard the bead pop into place, then dropped the psi down to 35-40. It seemed to do the trick, no more wobble. I hope I didn't damage my wheel or anything else by do that.

If you can't get it to seat properly with just air you might need to use one of these tools.
