Default front derailleur won't allow shifting

A couple of days ago I went to my local trail in order to do some trail work. On my ride back home I ended banging my front drailleur on a rock due to the muddy conditions. Due to my little spill my front derailleur will not shift gears. Any ideas on how to fix? Should I just try and bend it back into place? Or how do I know if it is my shifter pod that is busted? Thanks for your help.

i know its simple but if it moved or bent down more then 1/8 of an inch it might be hitting the chainrings when u shift

If the clamp hasn't slipped and it is indeed bent, I'd go ahead and try to bend it back. But make sure it is definitely bent and not just slipped out of place.

If the clamp just slipped, loosen up the clamp, realign it and then set the set screws.

Here's the procedure from Parks website.

Or you could follow Vickie's lead and buy a new bike!
