How old is the bladder you are using? CamelBak's anti-bacterial coating works pretty good and I never have any bad taste in mine--and I'll leave it full of water for a week or more sometimes.

A week or more, thats it? You must be new at this.
Man...I leave all kinds of liquids in mine for months on end, yea.... I got sick once, left lunch all over the trail, After a while you build up resistance to those nasty little grogans growing in the sack, but most of the time it just gives me a wicked kool buzz.
(seriously)

Well, I never put anyting in mine besides water. Sugar based stuff would probably defeat the anti-bacterial coating after a couple weeks.

Default Me Too

My Bladder stinks, but I found reducing the amount of asparasgus in my diet resloved the issue. That home made Enama looks like it might smart a little

I will always use a sugary substance in mine,
I first started out with gatorade, then I figured why not Pepsi. It seemed to be working so I made my way up to egg-nog, thats where things got a little gross, so now I only put in chocolate milk, the sugar rush combined with the calcuim benefits is very difficult to resist.

Thumbs down Reduce, reuse, recycle.

That's just what we need, MORE PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES in our landfills.

Rinse with a bleach solution periodically...
Keep in fridge or freezer, and don't store it in your car, or another warm place where bacteria will grow.

I have been using camelbacks for mtbing and backpacking since they first came out, and have gotten use to the taste. In fact, I kind if like it since I associate the taste with outdoor adventure.

I was thinking about filling mine with 100 ounces of Chocolate Outrage GU for the next Tour De Noble.

I have several packs that I alternate with grape juice. I leave them ferment for a couple months for that extra buzz.
