Default Freeride rims

I need to lace up some new hoops on my 7 point it has dt 6.1 rims right now which are way soft so soft they had a flat spot in a day and my buckles on my car rack dented them a little bit. I was thinking of maybe S types , supra d's or something similar any suggestions??? I'm not going to buy a whole new wheelset just lace up new rims to my dt hubs

I run mavic 729 and they are indestructible, they are pretty heavy but they are the only rims I havent thrashed.

I'm no freehucker, but i'm fat, and what jumps i do launch i land really poorly. I wreck rear rims all the time. The 729 I've been running on the back of one of my trailbikes for close to two years now is straight as the day i got it. Just looking at the beefy f-cker makes me think it's damn near impossible to tweak it.

BTW, the end of that video is that mini drop/roll into the parking lot at the courthouse at the Fullerton Loop.

2x or 3x ?? I know 3 is more weight because the spokes are longer but its not really a huge difference

You can't go wrong with Mavic, the 729 is a killer rim. If you want to try tubeless try the 823. I've also used the Sun Doubletrack (Intense Mag30) which is a super wide, beefy rim that you should be able to find on the cheap. I've run all three of these rims and would recommend each one for what you describe.

If price is an issue, I would look into either the Azonic Outlaws or Mavic Deetraxs. They both are pretty decent wheelsets for sub $350.00. You can also hit up Nagaderama on here as he can get a deal on some of the Sun Rims.

- 729's are bullet proof, heavy (+200 grams per wheel), pricey, but oh so dam sexxxy - I run them both my DH and AM bikes
- Alex Supra BH - great value DH/AM rim, solid
- Azonic Outlaws - fantastic value, solid, nice hubs, with many different axle and skewer options (I think there re-badged Alex Supra BH, side by side I can not tell them apart.
