Default Hollow Pin Chain Adjustment - Length

Dumb question, especially coming from someone who wrenches a bit...

Got a hollow pin chain for the SS... (BMX) can I use a normal chain tool on it to shorten the new chain, or do I need to do something "special".

Tanks...

It an FMF BMX hollow pin... a bit heavy, but I have snapped chains before. I'll be walking the SS more the riding it for a few outings so it is not much of an issue, but was not sure if my chain tool would suffice.

Bike looks good, now just need to get ergos right. The Fox fork lock out knob hits the frame (very, very, very slightly) even with a spacer. Taking it for a spin with the kids this weekend.

I thought all bike chains used the same dimensions (other than width). Maybe give it a try on the last link.

I just put one of those FMF chains on my SS and I used my normal Park chain tool.
