I just might. I could run all 6 with 2 bflex's but that would require a different battery. Now I could and this is sick thinking .... drive them with 3 bflexs and the battery I have. It would give around 1.5 hours at full tilt and we both know there would be no need to drive all 6 @ 1A.

Once I get the housings all figured out I'll make a bunch. I should be able to get 70 of them out of one 12' stick of material. So needless to say I'll have a few extras to play around with.

Hey hey, go sell yer lights in your own thread.
J/K mang. Did you see those beam shots over at MTBR of the Q5 vs the R2's? Let's just say after seeing that I'm happy to have picked the R2's.

yah i saw those. i think i will definitely have to pick up the R2's when i get to the point of sourcing components. i just realised that the R2's are only 3 more/emitter from cutter than the Q5's, so i think its more than worth it. geez this light thing is getting expensive

He was prolly reading a bunch of different threads so he can build his very own newt killer. hehe

Ok guys, so far I have 2 spot beams @ 8.2 degrees and 2 a little wider @ 10.4 degrees.

So if I end up doing a 6 banger that I will call The B-52 what do you think I should use for the other 2 optics? Some more 10.4 degree dealios or jump up to 20 degree for more side spill? I'm thinking 2 more 10.4's but what the heck. I'll ask the tribe what they think.

2 20* would be cool, that way you have a really diverse light pattern... i also saw the R2 vs. Q5.... i think i'll order those when i make a helmet light

spot of genius, you should make the housing look like the engine pods on a B-52

Two B Flex drivers showed up today. Man those suckers are tiny.

But anyway, props to Taskled.com. I ordered those last and they showed up first.

Have any of you guys used this company. maybe shipping would be faster with a US company.

Plus Cutter stocks a variety of optics which Deal Extreme doesn't have. Cutter takes longer, but it saves on ordering from 2 companies.

Dave, these lights of yours are getting expensive! Multiple drivers, a gaggle of emitters...scary, but really cool!

it's still all jacked up. It got infected big time. Was almost good to go and today I think it's starting to get infected again. So back to the doc I go. I do plan to do the right thing though. You know, hide it from my wife so I can ride this weekend. (will be my first time back on the bike)
