Default cup replacement on hope hubs

Im the new owner of a used Pike, and need to convert my QR to 20mm cups(which I bought at The Path a while back) what is the process? do they just pop out? I don't like breaking stuff...but Im quite capable of doing so.

If I remember correctly, you can just pull them out with your hands. Then you place the 20mm conversion plugs in and pop the securing ring in place.

On my Hope Bulbs the QR cups do not just "pop off". You have to stick allen wrenches in each end and loosen the one end then the "axle" will come out. Then you place the 20mm cups in place taking note 1 side is wider than the other and then secure them with the supplied snap rings.

What year are your Hopes? Now that I think about it, I have the Hope Pro II. Hey Thai, which Hopes are you referring to?

I have the Hope Pro 2's I actually had the guys at The Path pop out the 20mm cups to put in QR thinking I wasn't going to score a good deal on the Pike, but I did, so I guess I should have watched them do it....the wheel set is brand new never seen dirt...

I have the Hope Pro II's as well and did the swap from QR to 20mm by myself. Its really easy, no tools required. Just be sure that you remember to use the cup retaining clip/spring when you put the 20mm cups in. I also kept my QR cups just in case I ever have to resort to using a QR fork.
