Stop stealing my thunder!

Anyone know if a Ti spring from a Manitou Swinger 4-Way will fit on a CCDB if the stroke is the same? I'm more worried about the ID/OD dimensions.
I currently have an 05 Demo 8 and am looking to replace the rear shock from the stock Manitou to the CCDB. I've confirmed with Cane Creek that they do make a compatible shock for my application. It would be nice to be able to use my existing Ti spring from my Manitou. They are the correct spring rate for my weight. Anyone? Tani? Thanks. Duc |

I've read that Renton springs as well as Progressive springs fit no problem.
Rentons inner diameter is 1.43". I don't know the inner diameter of a Manitou spring but in the description for the Renton springs they say they will fit Cane Creek shocks, Manitou, Marzocchi, and Progressive shocks...So I think it should fit. The CCDB does usually use a lighter spring than most coil shocks so you might end up needing to try a different spring anyways, unless you had the wrong spring to start out with on the other shock. |

I contacted CC and they said they would spec the shock with a 350lb spring for my weight. So I'll give the one on my Manitou a shot. Can't hurt to try it if it fits. It'll save me a couple hundred bucks if it does.![]() Duc |

Oh, another heads up, ask Malcolm to send the shock with the sleeve that they have that goes over the body of the shock. See this thread for info on that.
