Getting back on the bike.

Default It's Foo's Fault! What to do... New SS frame or...

Foo's SS build up post has given me another way, idea and inspiration and to burn my Christmas money...

The gift was given to get me another digital camera that my son accidently dropped just before the holidays... No problem, we have a couple compact ones I can use.

Then it was the iTouch idea... Nah, I got an iPod video with 30gb that works just fine. My Palm Treo does everything else.

My Triumph motorcycle has been modded to the hilt...

Now a new Zion frame looms as the leading contender to rid me of the evil dollars that have been given to me and now cause me much loss of sleep...

I had a Schwinn Moab Disc that served my SS needs quite well. The "breakage" of the Hayes rear caliper which mounted to the chain-stay and the fact the frame is aluminum, requires me to get a new frame.

Question is... If you had $300 dollars for a frame, what would you get?

My poor Intense was back on the trails once again now that I am back on the bike, now she'll be pissed for sure. I miss my SS and my 49 year old legs are already screaming...

Depends. A pure SS frame or just any HT frame?

the $300 that you have is that just for the frame because you'll be able to use the parts from your Schwinn? if that's the case, $300 will get you a pretty decent SS frame. But for the price the Zion cant be beat. I'm Glad? i can assist you in forgoing other toys

Yes parts from the Schwinn as well as the "parts bin" will be used.

Actually your post was timely and will assist with my "getting back into shape"ritual

Yup, went with the 26" and ebb... Thought about the 29 for a bit however cause I been wanting to see what the hub bub is about, but I got a bunch of unused parts that need a home.

I go back and forth with it. Really, all it means is a different wheelset. I'm still on the fence myself...

if it were only just wheels you also need a 29'er fork then you have to buy new tires and/or innertube
