Default First ride

Aliso would be great for your first ride. Close to home in case they need to call 911

Start off at the church and it is almost flat and then ride the bottom of the park until you get to Choila (sp?). Then walk up to the top. With a SS you walk your bike from time to time it is OK

Then ride the top up and down hills to Mathis or the Top of the World if you are up for it. If you have to walk the hill just before Mathis no biggie. Go down Mathis and out.

That would be a good first ride.

The first ride will kick your A$$......it is ok

Doug, you, Gregg, Gene, Neil and Andy (to name a few) would give clinics on SS riding but all SS'ers will be welcome on this sufferfest

Foo- Welcome to the suffer fest, I've been rolling a ss for the past month or so. Believe me, it will be an eye opener when you have to mash up Mathis, but when you make it its damn rewarding Make sure you organize a SS ride when you get it together and I'll bring the champagne break on bow!

Wow, great decision on the Zion. Much better setup than converting the Marin.

Can't wait to come out for the SSufferfest.

Thanks Duan, I'll be glad to join ya in your sufferfest. I have a lot of training rides and trail work to do from now till Feb. Make it after the VQ and I'm in. SSing will make you stronger because you have to attack every climb or technical section, there's no granny to bail you out. You'll love it.
