Default Setup help: 2006 Zoke 66sl

Found one on E-bay on the cheap, will give it a try on the 2007 RFX. Currently have a 2006 Z1 Light with ETA on there, so it will need to be a better than good fork to take it's place. I know SSINGA has time on one a has always and seemed to like it.

Question is: give me some starting points to set up the air champers. ! am 220 lbs, small hucks...looking for good small bumps compliance keeping the breakdrive under control. It should be here by the time I get back form Sedona.

THX

Dean

How do you think that fork will be for climbing steep stuff Dean? No travel adjust on it and its a tall fork. I'm not sure you'll be very happy with the small bump compliance on it coming from a coil Zokie. Mine is the '07 with ATA so I don't think the air pressure set up would be the same as the '06 but I'm not sure. I remember seeing some guys on the Turner board trying all kinds of tricks to get rid of the stiction on those forks. Supposedly the '07 was a big improvement as far as stiction is concerned. Sorry I can't help you much with the air pressure settings. A lot of times guys will list their pressure settings on the fork reviews on mtbr. Otherwise I'd search the Turner board also.

It is going to be a second fork, I am keeping the Z1. I am aware of the twisted lowers issues and the resulting stiction. Tscheezy puts a little oil under the wipers to fix that problem and still says it it the best fork he has ever had.

If the experiment does work I am not out much money. With 3 bikes in the stable I can afford to push it more into the downhill range.
