tumbled looks more like bead blasted finish with clear coat over top than the real RAW finish that you get from the other manufacturers.

Mike C did run the DT on one of his bikes for a while and his reviews were 2 thumbs up

On your brakes the M4's are great. The minis not so much. I've had both and the M4's are the way to go both F/R. If you're counting grams I would take it away somewhere else as there's really not that much difference between the two. 180mm floating rotors if you're a pimp.

i plan on going with 180mm floaters. the published weight difference is 105grams between the minis and the m4. that is enough to make me want to give them a shot. i could always unload the mini and get an m4 if it isn't good enough. what was the mini lacking btw? power?

just go with the M4's front and back... i ran a mono mini rear and i had fading problems when i had them installed on the reign..rebled, new pads and still had the same problem.

were they the new generation with phenolic pistons?

just curious as the phenolics were supposed to address that issue.

BTW...

i CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on the new Crank Bros seat post. this bike WILL have one if they are available. i would much rather have a Joplin than a gravity retarder!
