Default 07 Fox Talas RL or keep my Rock Shox Revelation?

i have an opportunity to get a brand new Fox fork off my buddy's specialized enduro elite that he just bought. My question is, am I better off keeping my Revelation or selling the revelation and getting the Fox fork?

what are your thoughts when it comes to the specs and the ride of the two?

I like the Fox. The 3 position travel adjust is great, easy to adjust on the fly. I didnt care for the constant twist to adjust travel on the Revelation and Pike I had. The Rock Shox forks felt good, the Fox is just a step up in my opinion.

Also, I think the axle to crown is longer on the Fox so your front will set a little higher and your HA will be a little slacker.

If it's doable for you, then by all means go for the TALAS. The Revelation may be a nice fork, but the TALAS is one of the best QR forks on the market, if not the best.

I had/currently have 2 and they were/are awesome. By far the best fork I've ever had.

even though the Talas doesnt have slow speed compression...you'd still recommend?

I still wouldn't worry about it. The one I have now is an RLC and I really never mess with the compression. The one I had that I sold was an RL and trust me--I never thought "gee I wish I had a compression adjust."

The RL does have low-speed damping, it's just not adjustable on that model.

I'd say go for the Fox, but I have never ridden the Revelation.
