This doesn't come into playmuch on bikes but it works. When you're trying to start a nut, threaded gland etc. and you just can't get it to engage, use your ninja awareness powers and slowly turn the nut backwards and you'll feel it sorta drop into the first thread lead. Now all you have to do is tighten it like normal.

This works great on fine pitch threads and that one bolt that sits way behind a manifold or under a dash (or a 14" diameter hydraulic cylinder gland with 24-pitch threads )

*When installing a chain, route it all the way through the rear der.
*If it involves spokes, shifting or suspension....ALWAYS take it to the Path.
*When picking up an allen key, just drop it on the floor. I always do anyway, but this way, I don't have far to go to pick it up.

So Hugh...when does "marking" become "scoring?" =)
