As the community grows so does the potential for threads and people to get out of control. STR has long been known for it's friendly and constructive atmosphere and we'll do our best to keep it that way.

I can't read every single post anymore and have looked for some help on the moderating front. Luckily Geuro and Gene have both agreed to help out.

Guero is the new Market Place moderator
Gene is a new global/super moderator

Keep tabs on who moderates what forum at this page.

Congrats Guero and Gene. And thanks for stepping up to help out.

I'm a Supermod on a forum with 100K members, it's definitely a time consuming responsibility so I have much respect for anyone who volunteers to help out as a moderator on a forum.

thanks george for putting faith in me to uphold the integrity of the site. and congrats to gene, i can't think of a better person to be a super-mod.

thanks jason and rob. i will do my best to let things flow, but when stuff starts getting far away from the original posters initial question/content, i have to make a judgement call and moderate the thread. we all have our favorite brands and shops, and of course its cool to point someone in a direction, but lets not try to push it down peoples throats.

the market place forum is a wonderful resource for all of us. i hate to see peoples 'for sale' or 'between these two bikes...' threads get hi-jacked, so i will do my best to cut out the b.s. and keep the threads on topic. i am also going to keep a close eye out for new members who haven't contributed to our community who just sign up to sell stuff. please feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns you may have with any content found in the market place forum.

The sign of a good manager is knowing when to delegate. The fact that this board has been so successful, speaks to your dedication and hard work... knowing when to pass the torch to others, speaks to your heart... as this has been your baby and it's been fun watching it grow and take its first steps. But now it seems to be running and needs the help of others in order to keep growing.

You've choosen two good guys who have stepped up to the proverbial plate... I know these two grasshoppers will not let you or us down.

Looking forward to where this will all go....
