Want to support STR? (str subscription)
Off the bat I want to say that this is COMPLETELY optional. This site has been and will hopefully always be free as long as I can afford it.
Last week we got a nice server upgrade to handle the increased traffic and has made the site quick and reliable again. Of course the downside to that was that the server bill literally doubled from what it was previously and compared to what it was at the beginning of the year, it's tripled. So to help offset those costs and others (stickers, etc) I'm offering an STR Subscription. In exchange you'll get more PM storage space (1500 vs. 250 messages), less ads shown, a special STR support badge under your name, and that warm fuzzy feeling that comes with knowing you've helped out the community. There are two options: 6 months: $25 1 year: $40 Even though people are used to getting things for free on the internet, if you think about how much STR has enriched your life I'm sure this will seem like a cheap way to help support it. I'm relatively new here on STR, but enjoy the boards, and the good vibe here so much, its a well worth supporting the site. Besides, 40 bucks??? A tank of gas costs more. ONE tire for your bike costs more.  |
