Sorry, the world already has too many regulations and rules. We are already controlled enough and I resent it. A bit of tolerance in life is needed more. Lighten up, the things you mention is just too petty. Sorry to be so harsh, but sensorship and control is offensive to me.

As was posted very early on here there are tools to help you moderate your own content.

I turned off avatars loooong ago because they were starting to include things I found really really offensive... like motion!! Nothing is more offensive to me than animated gifs and other cutsie little sig lines that move.
Foo's bug pushed me over the line

Also, there are browsers like Firefox that combined with tools like noscript give you really great control over graphic content and the ability to ban images from any site you desire.

The unfortunate thing about banning all image content form this site means that the RRs are pretty boring

For the morality types,

Your kids and wife/hubby are getting much filthier content at school, work, at the coffe shop/frozen yogurt joint with friends etc.

This place is G rated compared to the real world.

The good news is it's not about what you saw on the internet, but how you actually live your life.

I like my kids to be as awhare of the filth in the world as possible. I hope it ruins the romance for them, and helps them to have reasonable responses to real life.
