First of all, I've been a mod/webmaster on other boards so I have a bit of a feel for what the Mods here are going through. In general:
1) Many of them actually have real jobs too. 2) They would rather be riding. 3) The volunteered to help make the website a better place 4) They are not on any sort of power trip 5) They are human and sometimes make mistakes (both using technology and judgment) So, lets give 'em a break. Also, this ain't a public square, it is private property. So, just like when you poach a trail on private property, don't be surprised if you get shot at. Also, now that we have a place to discuss alleged censorship and censorship policies here how about we keep these discussions out of the other discussion groups? I'd like to keep the other threads on-topic as much as possible. Thanks to everyone who volunteers, both here and on the trail.

I think there's a big difference between "censorship" and "moderation". "Censorship" is a much overused term, usually tossed about by persons who've been "moderated" for violation of predetermined and published guidelines, and it's inflammatory.
Everyone here is smart enough to understand that either word can be broadened enough to encompass the other's actual meaning, and also smart enough to understand the appropriate use of each in posts. If we can't then ****ing censor us! ![]()
