I think the thanks button was such a good Feature.Its a way of acknowledging people with out being face to face.On a ride when people say or do something its a succinct thanks. But online. the only way to do that is with a thanks button.

I guess it is fine to just post "thanks" but it takes a lot longer IMO.

It was a nice way to show people you appreciated the time/energy they took to do photos or write up a report on what they did, etc. Or just to provide good info for others.

Everyone complained about using post count #s on someone's main info, but now thanks are bad also?

If you don't like them don't use them.
