It's working now. However to get the RSVP function, I had to delete my old calendar entry and create a new one!

Will we be able to create rides in the Trailhead section with RSVP capabilities? Right now creating events in the calender doesn't make a thread for people to respond to and discuss. I liked the old format pretty well where it was all integrated.

The RSVP function now works, but the "reply" option is now gone!!!! What's up with that?

 I'm sure Jorge is well aware of it and is in the process of re-incorporating such old features. "If it's an upgrade but the features we used to have are now gone, isn't that considered a downgrade so it's really not an upgrade, right?"...never mind! Kind of a nerd thing.
