It's just hard sometimes for new members to understand when we first joined this site was ALL about mountainbiking and things on wheels!! YES good stuff. You'll notice many of the founding members have stopped posting out of frustration. I remember way less than 100 posts a day able to read every one. A great site for learning. The past year or so it's taken a turn that makes it hard to get to the good stuff with all the unrelated posts/threads. Not flaming just explaining how I know many feel about so many random posts a day makes it hard to find the bike related stuff we're here for.

Its very fustrasting for people trying to read threads their interested in and having to deal with a ton a off topic posts that most of the time make no sense to them because they dont know the people or they are inside jokes.

One thing I don't get, is how to do people have time in the day to post BS stuff like you tube videos and jokes all day long. GO RIDE.

Just everytime before you hit reply, ask yourself

• is it necessary?
• can it help anyone out?
• Does it express emotion towards something, or an opinion?

I say you keep posting though, on a toned down level
besides, middle of the day posts?

I don't see anything wrong with sharing a funny joke you get in an email on here.

ecept usually things get posted and nothing happens except poeple lose out on good info.
This way at least, the people who input ideas, and take time to reply to this "stupid" post, there will hopefully be "justice" at the end.
Meaning we're all happy and nobody is harmed

I agree with brandon. There's more non bike related threads than bike related. Kind of odd for a bike forum. Brandons idea would help out for those who are just looking for bike info. The non related bike stuff is cool, but not something I come to these forums for.

I dont mind danny that you post no sequitur things i simply skim it and move on. no biggie. I know being single and having nothing else to do at night can create some challenges so you turn to your online family and post irrelevant things that you would probably bring up with a buddy(ies) at a bar or hanging out. I figure once you get settled with your family situation you wont be doing this so much (posting that is)

A big hug for Danny BIGHIT! It's not just you. Its me and everyone who posts before thinking. I do it too. Don't worry about it. I think we are all thinking out loud and its getting diverted into your direction. It's not you alone though.
I think we all get exited and post up things that interest us that might be lame to others and unrelated to mtn biking.

I do think we need a place to put the random posts that really have nothing to do with anything.

Ok I will say this, i find it hard to believe that people who complain about what I post even waste there breath on me.If you see a post by BIGHIT skip over it.Why do you feel it necessary to spend the time to bash me.I have never done anything wrong to anyone here.
