Default Sunday Morning Peter's Canyon -- 8 am

This is a newbie ride at Peter's Canyon. We will meet at the Albertson's parking lot at 8:00 am for a fun ride around Peter's. We will probably do two laps but for those who only want to do one that's fine.

This is a newbie ride so we will regroup frequently.

The address for Albertson's is:
8440 E Chapman Ave
Orange, CA 92869

Hope we have another great turnout.

I don't have a full face helmet, guess I better go get one and maybe some other protection, like a cup.

This is my backyard....there are two loops...short and long, short is 4 miles, long is 8....nothing too difficult and a lot of fire road style...safe for beginners and fun for advanced if you choose. There are some serious climbs...short but straight up....Big Red is a mutha....I still push my bike up the two little ones aren't easy either but the first one has a zig zag scenic side route Hmmmm maybe I should drag my Sunday ride down to this one instead?

This is a pretty tame ride that has enough room for all skill levels. We should do one lap and then get into the oaks for anyone looking for "extra credit".

You got it backwards baby, Peter's is DISCO's House.

There is an excellent mix of fire road and single track that is very easily accessed and a great fun ride for SS or my personal favorite BMX bikes. All are welcomed, if you would like a preview before hand PM me or join in on tonight's Tustin Loop ride.

See you all on the trail.

Except for Big Red, I remember Peter's Canyon being pretty SS-friendly. Am I wrong?

If I can make it, it's a toss up with which bike I will bring.

mellow fireroad for initial 1-1 1/2 mile, steep climb for 100-150 yards, gradual incline for next 1/8 of mile or so... steep climb for another few hundred yards, gradual incline for a couple miles, another steep climb and then its all downhill from there.

here is a topo for it

its not bad, as we've done newbie rides there before... the climbs are tough and some of the downhills can be tough for riders not used to rocky steep sections

That's if you don't do Big Red! And Big Red is a must! once you get up to the top, the other "hills" are nothing but rolling and fun, and then a small single track down through some trees, But you'll still need to do 3 laps to get some miles in.

Bring the SS, this is by far the easiest place I've ridden and I su$k wind at every ride!
