if you guys want to add a couple of fun sections park to the right of the fire station and cross the road and head down about 100 yards. there will be a trail that heads up on west side of clinton keith and goes up the gully.

it is a little bit of a climb but nothing technical and lots of fun on the way back down. once you get to the top cross clinton keith and take the singletrack heading east from the dirt lot across from avenida la cresta. make it an out an back....just a couple of fun options to consider.

Here is a Map of the Gully Singletrack

Wanna ride with you but want to make sure its not going to be too punishing?

Is the meeting place the same as on the google map?

I haven't been on my bike in 2 months because of a lack of insurance. Now that its back im itching to try out California Biking, Chicago biking really isnt that interesting.

First of all as with all STR rides, "NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND." As for the ride, no it is really an easy ride, but still fun. There is some climbing, but we always wait. Come on out and you will have a blast here.

We will meet at the fire station to make it easy. It is on the left side of Clinton K. at the bottom of a good size hill, you can't miss it. If you get lost or are running late, call my cell, 951-442-0808. SEEYA!!

SRP is pretty tame. I SS it and my 11 year old can do it (though he is faster than some adults I know). You guys will have fun. Expect 10-ish miles and under 1,000' of climbing.

I'd love to go with you guys. I've been wanting to hit it up again, but I'm working. Hopefully next time.

Just as a heads-up, guys... that singletrack is signed closed to bikes, but only at the top from the neighborhood. Not trying to rain on any parade or anything, but just be aware.

We were out there a few months ago and the trail off to the left at the big parking area by the La Cresta entrance is open also. A few fun things, but when we were out there, some hike-a-bike due to loose/steep stuff.

Have fun!!

that portion of trail is called "Slaughterhouse Canyon". allison is correct, it is signed at the top for no bikes. i think this is due to shuttlers that were parking in the cul de sac at the top and bombing down. i don't know if the trail is truly illegal or if it is just signed for no bikes.
