You can ride mid pack. I just need to know where to lead them, but as long as you and Doug are with me as we regroup, I won't get 30 or so riders lost if I lead.

If no one minds printing out the directions, I did do this as an official route on Geoladders:

Here is a map. I can highlight the different routes the day of the ride for those that want it.

The trailhead also offers maps for anyone that is interested, and there are some at the Ranch House as well.

It's easy to get to the Ranch House once you turn left at the little bump (there used to be a pond there). You basically just stay on the main fire road!

I know Mark posted earlier that he wanted to ride with everyone. This is a social ride, can we ride as a group and have the newbies just regroup at the points where the "A" group will be doubling? Since the first few miles is climbing we can start start the newbies early but then let the "A" group catch us and keep up. I know the 20mi loop just does all the fire road and doubles some sections of the trail. For example while the "A" group is doing the fire road section of Jack Creek the newbies could start pushing/climbing Cardiac aka Hidden Spring. Basically regroup every 3 mi or so.

I've been thinking...

We could have groups A-Z, two riders per group, each starting exactly 37 seconds after each other from the parking lot...tied together with a rope...that way, ......

just kidding.

Probably worth noting that Ben has changed the meeting time to 8:30. Please re-read the top of the post if you haven't already.

Do you think they could ride for 5 minutes and not hit an STR member that day?

Nope, that was me, I forgot to change it back to 9am. It's still 9am meeting, "C" group out at 9:15, "A" and "B" out at 9:30. Ben, please verify start times. Thanks, Gene

I'd suggest showing up early since that parking lot is gonna be paaack'd. And that just allows more time for STR socializing.

Default Carpool???

Anybody want to carpool from Hillcrest/Mission Hills (or anywhere
on the 163/15 corridor, I guess)? I agree, parking might be tight ...

I can put a second bike on the rack, and have plenty of space
for gear.

on the topic of carpooling, anyone from the 626 up for that as well? I'll gladly toss in some money. I'll probably go either way (pending upset girlfriend) and get up early and drive myself down there

OK, Carpooling will be a must! Anyone showing up late will have a very evil road climb up to the meeting area. As Gene stated, 9am meet time, 915 "C" start time, 930 "B+A" start time.
+/- 12pm beer time!
