Well, it's been raining in Rancho Bernardo for a while now--and the clouds over Esco don't look too great.

It's going to be a sloppy ride (or just a really early BBQ)

With regards to Escondido, Wunderground is saying:

Quote:
Isolated showers will occur over western San Diego County this afternoon. Most of the showers will be short-lived...so precipitation amounts will be a few hundredths of an inch or less.

We're a bit north, but it hasn't rained in Murrieta at all today. Has actually been sunny on an off (from what I can tell inside).

5 mi south of RB in Poway we've had a couple of brief showers (1-3 min) come through all day, but it should be fine for tomorrow

Well, I rode today...yeah it was a safe area..deep dg, awesome drainage, no ruts or cakeyness or mud or clay, not even loamy...just about pure dg, no mt bike tracks other than my tread marks, but there were 3 moto's out riding. Anywho, I got caught up in a pretty good downpour for about 15 minutes, soil condition was still excellent, made things a wee bit chilly though.
As far as tomorrows ride..I can't wait. Where is everyone meeting? In the Main lot?

Default Red Cups...

For all those who wish to after/during the ride, I've been thinking about the "Red Cup" scenario. What I mean is, it would be funny to see 50+ mtbr's all drinking out of red cups. HMMM... I wonder why they're all holding red cups? I say... forgo the cups and drink your beverage of choice from a water bottle instead. It will be much less conspicuous.
