I'll be there for the Halloween ride tomorrow at 3pm. This ride will be a mellow pace. Although the air may be a little better, I'm not going to over exert myself for the sake of training. There will be time for that in the coming weeks if the fires are put out.

I thought the parks were closed?
Never mind, they are open now.

Good ride today! Met up with project_d, we went to top of the world, down meadows, up cholla, down rockit and then hit 5 oaks. Saw your yeep slayer, but got there a bit late today.
Air was pretty good, could smell a little smoke near the top of the world and you could see the fires easily and all the smoke hanging over irvine and area. First time down meadows (just grinding up before) and first time hitting 5 oaks - that was a blast, can't wait to go down again! Thanks for the lines and pointers Dan!

I think I saw Project D's truck. White SC Nomad, right? Me and my buddy Jake were loading up our cars (Silver Subaru's) to get some tasty Wahoos as you guys were leaving. We did a couple of rides today. Want to get as much in as we could. I thought the air was affecting me, but turns out I was just out of breath due to not riding for a week. My lungs feel good.
5 oaks is a blast! 2nd time around will be much better bobzrag. ![]() |

Yeah, I saw you rushak; say "hi next time, will ya? Wow, I would have loved to have eaten some Wahoo's!
Good ride with bobzrag. Air was clean, trails were in good condition, and as bobzrag stated, you could see smoke from the fires VERY clearly. Big, and I mean BIG props to whomever did maintenance on Five Oaks. Put it a berm in a few places, and you can REALLY launch off the lip of the ditch! ![]() |

rode aliso and el moro this morning...got out at around 8:30 and what a perfect day. i didn't have any problems with the air at all. we even got a little bit of rain around 10 or so that lasted for about 30-40 minutes.
i am so glad i was able to get out and ride today...thanks to oc parks for opening this back up just in time for the weekend. the air in temecula still sucks so i might be back out tomorrow for another dose of that sweet sweet nectar. ![]()

today was good. i left the jeep right at 7, sorry i missed you guys but i wanted to get a good ride in before i had to head home. i did cholla to lynx loop twice then i did cholla to rock-it loop twice then headed out. air was good ,didn't smell anything and my lungs felt good. i passed a couple of guys on my 3rd time up cholla, i was on a yellow specialized epic. was that you guys? i think i might hit up el moro or aliso again tomorrow, probably around the same time. later
