Default Night SART, round 2! Saturday 11-3-07 7pm

This one is a must do for you night riding fans, its SART at night!!

Meet at the Southfork campground at 7pm.
Here is the geoladders link to the trail:
http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=151

We can leave a car or 2 at Angelus Oaks to get back to Southfork when we are done.
Like before if you want to go bottom to top and back down, start a bit earlier- Jose and Justin?- and we will "regroup" at Southfork and then head down together.
This time we will go up the fireroad and then also hit the post office loop- if the group agrees- it should be killer at night blaze through that then back up the fireroad to the cars!
Last time we were at Angelus Oaks in less then 2 hours so even with doing the post office loop it should be around 3 hours of ride time, then its cold beer time

See you there!

Sorry to sound like a total newbie, but this is the SART you are talking about right?

http://www.mountainbikebill.com/SART.htm

Longest continuous ride I've done is the Whiting->STT->Luge->Whiting loop, which is about 14 miles I think. If I can do that without a problem (during the day), will I die on SART at night? Please advise!

Thanks! What stinks is that I forgot about a big Halloween party that's going on Saturday night... decisions decisions!

Are there going to be any inebriated and scantily-clad women on this ride?

Guys,

How long does it take to get to the trailhead from 215/10 interchange? I have to work Saturday at our SB facility and maybe I can head up there Sat. night. We're off Waterman Ave at the 10.

Thanks!

This is a no-drop ride, especially at night!
90% of this will be "downhill" with a refreshing uphill to finish the lap.
Strong lights are highly recommended and don't worry, I am sure 26er Zen Master will run his usual "sweep position" so you won't be alone
pm me if you have any other ?'s.

Alright, I'll pack my bike up and head out there. I'll bring the Truth since the Mini is too small to fit my Nomad. See you guys Sat night.

I've been following the updates and I think- and hope- just like Aliso it will stay closed until later this week.
I'm hoping it opens, if not we can try to reschedule.

Talked with a ranger at SB National Forest this morning and it will not be open until they get some rain? so SART may not happen for a bit.
Saddened what can you do!

If that's the case with all local national forests... it could be a really long fall. And winter.

where are we all gonna ride!
