6+"as well and 40+lbs. I can climb with the bike but by no means am I a goat. A couple of 2-3 mile climbs I can handle.

I rode my Enduro (6" FS) at 31lbs up there. It's a bit to slug around on the climbs (I'm slow and don't climb really well up steep loose stuff).

Much of what is out there isn't entirely DH. There are still climbs.

You may want to find out the routes they are doing then. It'd easily handle the DHs, but you may be struggling on the climbs.

Default Shuttle fest vs festival

The main difference between the shuttle fest and the festival is that there are no guides. During the normal festival there are at least 2 guides on every ride. During shuttle fest they just take you to the top and drop you off. I think the people who know where they are going would prefer this. You will be responsible for yourself. There also will be know organized entertainment at a central camp like there is at the festival.

I rode (and pushed) the Plunge yesterday on my 42 pound Yeti AS-X. Something like an Enduro would be ideal. There are few rocky sections but not hard enough to warrant a crazy bike.
