Oddly enough, I started winning when I stopped worrying about winning. Go figure.

If I race XC (which is likely at this point), I will probably be racing beginner SS or sport XC. I raced a lot of beginner XC about 3 years ago.
I am coming out of XC racing retirement! ![]() ![]() Encourage your friend to come...she'll have fun no matter what! |

Well, I just picked up a new set of bars for my SS today when we were visiting Pac at BB. I have to put a riser bar on...it has flat bars on it now and I'm too hunched over.
I may be joining you in the XC after all, though, because I remembered that when I run the SS with a 34-18 (my old setup) instead of 36-18 (current setup which is too hard for racing) the chain falls off a lot. This happens even when I run the chain over the tensioner. I don't want to put another chain on because we tried that and you need a half link. But then the chain still falls off. All rambling aside, you'll likely see me on the Yeti. I am not much competition for you..hell, you guys did a ride today and the last couple weeks were out there all the time. Me? Not so much ![]() It's all good though because I really just want to train by doing this race. |

Either way I'll be out at max as long/hard as I can during the race. Just cause it's good training! |

I'm working on trying to moderate it though, because I have a tendency to push big gears and then later I'm exhausted!!
Well, you can thank Justin for making me eat my words...I'm doing an XC race! (I'm secretly kindof excited). |

What's up fellow lovers of the two wheels!
Just had a quick question regarding bike setup for Southridge. I raced my Giant Reign there last year and did OK. I'm planning to race Sport now instead of beginner. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can make my AM bike more DH race friendly. I pretty much only have this one bike for racing. Anyone else racing their AM bike? I figured at least beefier tires would be a start. |

Where's the singletrack?

Other than beefier tires, try a shorter stem (if you already dont have one on).

is there a way to sign up for this on the internet or only on race morning? I was playing on their site but could only find the waiver to print and bring with me. Same thing for becoming a member of SRC.
Thanks
