Just got home. I got second in my class - Mens SS 34 and Under. Of course there were only two of us in that class, but I think I did pretty well against my opponent considering he is a pro racer for Cannondale. That guy was super fast, so I Googled his name when I got home and found out he's a pro. I was only 12 minutes back from him on two laps, so in my book that's not too bad.
Congrats to everyone that raced today! |

For the last time--- if you want your picture taken (by my Brother) POST YOUR NUMBERS!
If you post them in the RSVP section of this thread, it would make it a lot easier... Just a thought!

Wow what a day! I had a blast but I'm exhausted which blows me away because it was only about 8 miles (at least that was what the race organizer claimed this morning). Still I ended up in 7th out of 12 with a time of 1:00:27 which I was really excited about since my goal was to do it in an hour or less. I did take a wrong turn on a part of the route so I'm hoping to drop about 2 minutes off my time on the 26th. I'm glad I listened to Alison and stuck with the beginner class, two laps would've killed me.
I would just like to thank all of the STR people out there, Alisson, Justin, David, Sharky, Maxwell, and Speckled (or was it spotted? sorry I can't remember) Trout and anyone else that I don't know who were out there, you guys were great and it was nice to have some friends to support me. Who ever was cheering at the finish line...you guys were great and it was a perfect way to end my first race. I looking forward to seeing pics of the whole thing. Thanks again and good luck to all of DH'ers out there tomorrow. Wish I could be there but I have to work tomorrow!

You know I was thinking about that while watching the 4x course. I might have to try that before the end of the series, I do hate crashing though and that middle berm was REALLY loose. David and I saw a pretty gnarly crash on the first run of the day there.

Great racing everyone such a fun day. Not sure the placements but I do know Lee just SMOKED them in the 4X his first race there. There goes Lee... crickets chirping...ah ok now his racemates finally go by. He took amazing leads CONGRATS on your 1st!! Not sure if I'll have pics up tonight.
For those shooting know they come down in order and don't forget Tani's daughter she'll be one of the last through wearing a PATH jersey didn't get her number.

What an awesome day! Congrats to everyone who raced and thanks to those of you who came out cheer us on!
I decided to race Sport XC instead of Beginner, I had to pace myself on the 1st lap to save enough energy for the 2nd one. The last climb was togh. I ended up getting 5th out of 7 and met my goal of having a time under 2 hrs was met. I finished in 1:59!!

Look's like I'm racing DH tomorrow. Mr. Walling did some sweet talking, and it worked!
![]() I had a real fun day today; 3rd out of 5 in Over 200 pound XC 4th out of 6(?) in Sport Super D. Sure was cool, seeing Nancy and Steph come over to our "dark side" for a change. ![]()
