Default Elfin Forest

I know it is hard to compete with Noble Canyon and the STR b-day ride, but I just cannot make enough time for those, so I am going to ride Elfin forest at 8:00ish. Would love some STR company. See ya!!

The trail is in Escondido and at one point overlooks the westside of Lake Hodges. I would rate it as a solid intermediate ride. Check out this link: http://trails.mtbr.com/cat/united-st...3_4521crx.aspx

Hope to see you there.

Elfin is a good time. If I weren't riding Noble I would be there. Bring your climbing legs and have a blast guys.

Elfin Forest? Looks like a good time. Would love to join you some day. Unfortunately, I will be at The Newbie Ride- informing unsuspecting riders about the benefits of riding an DW-Link/Iron Horse bicycle!

Bjammin is a man of truth!!

As for the rest of the ride, I can go AS SLOW as anyone around!! Pace is always determined by the slowest rider, that maybe you or more likely than not me. What I am saying is that I am just out for a ride, pace is not to important.

Hope to see there.

Elfin Forest is lots of fun but don't let anyone tell you it has flat sections. Your either going up or going down. You might have a few feet of flat on the service road at the top. I rode there for the first time a month ago and it was a blast.

el_d00der1n0 riding with you a couple times now I think you will do fine on this trail. Its all a climbing and switchbacks. Remember for each hour you spend climbing is only a few minutes on the way down.

Sounds like Daley. The Crest ends too quickly.

Ok, well it looks as if we have at least 3, maybe four riders, which is cool. So why don't we meet at 8 am in the parking lot at the bottom of the Way Up Trail. If you get lost or are running late call my cell 951-442-0808

See ya, Kevin

Nothing like Daley IMHO. Our Daley loop is 13 miles with 2,000' of climbing. The Elfin loop was a bit over 8 miles and the elevation at Elfin was a bit higher. Also, a lot of the climbing at Elfin is on rocks.

It is a really fun ride though. I want to go back soon.

Yeah, great time! Nice trails.. steep, rocky... sweet! I ended up at Stone Brewing and had a lunch that did not suck, and a Ruination for my recovery drink.

Great ride. Thanks for posting Kevin.

I think I'm going to try that one on my own a few times before anchoring a whole group.

Sorry I missed the ride. It sounds like it was a good time.

Brian, let me know sometime you want to give it another shot. I was the boat anchor the last time with my friends too. I think I walked as much as I road on the Way Up trail.

Anyways happy to hear everyone has a good time. I hope to make it out with you all next time.
