Default Tijeras Creek Tuesday "Road Trip" - San Clemente singletracks

Tijeras Creek Tuesday is hitting the road!

A special "Goodbye KeepsWhatHappens - Back to Work Soon" ride on 10/16 at the killer San Clemente singletracks.

Meet at 9:00 a.m. at Richard Steed Memorial Park parking lot.

Here is a map:
http://tinyurl.com/yp64tg

Every Tuesday morning we explore different routes, starting points and hidden gems in the Tijeras Creek/Arroyo Trabuco/O'Neill area - but not this week!

KeepsWhatHappens will lead us through the hidden gems of San Clemente singletracks.

Here are some ride reports & photos from previous rides:

http://www.johnearly.com/rides/8-2-07.html
http://www.johnearly.com/rides/9-7-07.html

This ride will be cross-posted on the Trail Angels site - intermediate+ riders only.

We'll stop at Pizza Port after the ride for pizza and refreshments.

Yes 9am in San Clemente. Where is everybody? Do you all have to work or something?

Beginners will not enjoy this ride. The pace wil be mellow but there's lots of ups and downs and narrow, "finesse" riding. Intermediate and advanced riders will have a ball!

We are going to Pizza Port after the ride which make playing hooky worth it all by itself. The sweet singletracks are just icing on the cake.

Unhappy Darn, John!

Had to go back to work for a living... I've been a Realtor for the last 6 years with an open schedule... great for riding! Now to put bread on the table, I've had to go back to a 8 to 5 job... which just plan interferes... period!

If I were you, I'd go postal on that place (no offense to postal workers)...

We'll miss you on this one! We'll have a refreshment in your honor at PP.

Jason,

If you've never done San Clemente Singletracks..do yourself a favor and join us. I am an excellent tour guide of the area trained by Reed the master of these trails. There is nothing quite like these trails in Southern California. Plus, the trails will be in primo shape after the rains.

Probably will do this one..http://www.geoladders.com/gps_route_racer.php?route_id=8916
...but always open to the suggestion and whims of the group.

The trails should be in excellent shape. I'm sure you can handle it Gene without skipping a beat.

John

Sorry no pics today...we were having too much fun!

Gene, Scott V, Singletrack Angel and two other Trail Angels and I were in attendance. We did 11 miles and 1700' feet of gain and TONs of sweet singletrack. Followed by a nice pit stop at Pizza Port.

I promise I'll break out the camera next time.
