Default Post-rain roll call: Did everyone ride STT/Luge today, or something else?

I know it's everybody's default post-rain route, but the mtb traffic on Santiago between Cook's and Modjeska Grade was amazing. I must have seen 20+ people headed up at about 7:45, and they were spread out enough that I don't think they were all one group.

Were you among them?

I headed to Chino Hills to meet some friends, but the park was still closed, so we ended up on the Fully Loop. It was squishy everywhere - that "Feels like both tires are at 18psi" kind of damp - but mostly was fine. A couple of spots were very slick and snotty though, namely alongside the golf course and the railroad tracks. All the ups were makeable, though a couple of the steep little downs were a bit treacherous. A few spills, but no damage, so it was all good fun.

i'm guilty, although i started later to let all the other peeps go ahead. Ran into a few STR bubbs and bubbettes, good seeing you Kristine and company... Hung out with Chris (Shecky) fixing a flat tire at the top of the climb out of Luge... you need to stop running kendas!

on my drive down Santiago Cyn, saw a bunch of Sho-Air guys road riding and then when i got closer to cook's there was a huge group of roadies coming from the cook's area

Rode with the girlfriend. Since she does not like to wake up early it was the Fully loop for us. Started about 915.
A little squishy. She (meaning we) had to walk a bit on the rr tracks just before the golf course due to standing water and mud. The last trailhead after the dam was closed til noon due to some event so we had to detour over the dam and exit at St. Judes. Its very cool to have a girlfriend that will step up and ride in the dirt and mud with you!

Complex and I *tried* to ride ST/Luge yesterday, but got turned around by the mud. Ironicly, I met Mudman at Adreneline afterwords (who chose not to ride yesterday).

Kinda crowded where I was too:
I rode the Long Beach Bike tour this morning and saw Chris aka CeeDubb and Mike aka Dismay. The weather was perfect and the course dry. Chris and I rode the Bike tour (26.2 miles or SO) and Mike ran the full marathon. Great job guys.

Default Of course!

I took three Trail Angels up STT/Luge today, since we always ride Whiting on Sunday mornings at 9:00 anyway...

We had the "slow and steady" Angel group today with one STT/Luge virgin! She made it down with no blood and was still smiling (kinda).

Nice to see tkblazer and crew, and everyone enjoyed the gorgeous weather and trail conditions. The parking lot at Cooks was full, but I guess we missed most of the riders with our late start - nice and mellow out on the trails.

If you didn't ride the Santa Anas today you missed out. Unless of course, you were at Fontucky doing shuttle runs! I rode up Harding to Modjeska Peak and the dirt was perfect. Fast and firm. Saw maybe two small puddles. Mild temps too.

I think I saw some other STR folks on my way down but wasn't sure and I was too hungry to stop.

Did Blackstar canyon with a couple friends. The ground was a little tacky and there were some puddles here and there. But other than that, the weather was perfect!

We were planning to head down motoway but one guy in the group had to head back early. So we will be probably riding it again next weekend and finishing the loop.

The start of a very long ride.

Riding up on tacky dirt made it feel that much harder.

I was the Ventana that kept going back and forth with your four. Nice to meet you all.
Yep, it was mighty crowded at the lot. Great conditions, except for the humidity.
I got a puncture somewhere on the Luge and heard it about halfway down. I booked it and made it to the bottom with no mishaps.
I tried to make it all the way to Cooks without a patch, but it finally gave up the ghost at the top of the little climb.
As far as the Kendas - I believe you Nam. That's the second puncture I've had this month!

We'll be seeing plenty of this section in the coming months. I will post VQ/CC training rides after the Mt Sac Race.

Hit up San Juan today. Lots of people out there. Weather was freaking awesome and the trail was in pretty good shape. Of course there are the ruts, but that's half the fun. Trail was nice and tacky with a few mud puddle here and there. It was a great day to be out there! Me and my buddy rode from the bottom all the way to the top and back down. I love this trail
