12 hours Temecula #3 Pre-Ride

I will be showing some people around the course on Saturday. Should be a fairly casual pace.

We will meet @ 10am at the campground parking lot by the go-kart track.

I figure we will do one lap of the #3 course (clockwise) and do another lap of the #2 course (counter-clockwise) linked at the tunnel of love.

Feel free to come join us.....hopefully they will have done some more trail work by then.

allison, justin and myself rode this thing (arse backwards) last weekend. coming down the dam(n) climb was different...you carry enough speed to make the turns pretty sketchy with all of the sand.

the little singletrack addition at the bottom definitely increased the tech factor...loose and a few small ruts and drops, but fun.

the new section heading back up the hill was sand-ville...once the climb started the first section was ridable but the traction wasn't there for the whole thing. i saw a post that they did work on that section this last week and plan do more. i guess we will see on saturday.

i am planning on scheduling some weekday night rides out here before the race....i just hope we don't run into any road blocks (guard shack, vail lake staff, etc.).
