Default South side Lake Hodges night ride, Tuesday 10/16 at 7:30-ish

Just to switch things up a little, we will be hitting up the South side of Lake Hodges Tuesday night for a night ride at 7:30PM. 12+ miles with only 800' of climbing--easy breezy. More of a social ride than anything else.

Directions: Exit Pomerado Rd/W Bernardo Dr and head West. Park in the Rancho Bernardo Community Park parking lot--approx 1/2 mile up on the right hand side.

Default South Hodges Night Ride

I think by unanimous decision last night at the LPQ ride, this Tues night ride will now be at the South side of Lake Hodges. Not quite easy breezy as the north side, but will be fun with mostly single track and a few short climbs, roughly 1.5 hrs.

Directions: Exit W. Bernardo Rd off I-15. Parking in the first lot at RB Community Park

I finally rode by Lake Hodges this weeken. Man, what a beautiful area. As I was riding by I was looking around and could make out where people could ride.

What you can see from I-15 and from Del Dios Hwy (depending on where you were when you drove by) is just the tip of the iceberg. If you can ever make it down for a night ride, we'd love to have you.

Just a note to folks: The dirt lot off Rancho Bernardo Rd/Pomerado is closed at dark, but you can park in the community park itself, which is lit up. It's like 1/16 of a mile past the dirt lot. Turn right at the stop light.

Doug, I was on my bike doing the MS150. Still we were a distance up above it.

Not the same lot. Last time, you met us at the lot off Via Rancho when we did the North side. This lot is off Pomerado/W Bernardo Dr.

Just rode south Hodges over lunch and the conditions were just incredible. I haven't railed the turns and climbed with uber traction in a LONG time.

I'd suggest bringing a geared bike tomorrow night.

Gears?? Bah, I don't need no stinking gears.

My Yeti is down--getting my fork back from Marzocchi, so I will be on the SS.

jonsocal [10-15-2007 02:22 PM] - I hope to make it there. Not a big fan of driving up the 15N anytime after 2:30pm on a weekday. Could use a fun night ride on the South Side!

I'm pretty sure the traffic will be cleared up in time enough for you to make it.

Yeah crap, W. Bernardo is what I meant -- not Rancho Bernardo Rd... hehe

I'm in. Surgery was rescheduled by doc. I'll have a light for SDYeti. (H-bar mount HID). I'm bringing gears. I want to reacquaint my self with the Intense. Who wants to join me for SJT on Wed?
